Michael Knippschild is a musician based in Essen, Germany. He is mainly working as a drummer / vibraphonist in Jazz and improvised music. Maybe not to be expected from a Jazz drummer he is exploring early music polyphony with his current studies in music theory. At the moment he is living in Oslo where he focuses on incorporating polyphonic techniques into his own compositions.

Having also many years of experience as a teacher, he is encouraging creativity and music development to the students' needs.
